We are a Brno technology company Whys and we are looking for a backend developer to expand our team and help us with the development of our Symmy integration platform. We are very popular Django, a framework built on Python, so we write all our applications in it.
We are a long-term partner for our customers who actively helping them to digitise their processes.
That's why we developed our own product Symmythat helps with automation and integration of enterprise solutions (ERP systems). We are very good at it, we are growing fast and we are starting to integrate ERP systems into large solutions mostly in the e-commerce area. And yes, Symma's backend and integration modules are also written in Django or Python.
Our long-term goal is to help companies become digital businesses, and we help them find the most appropriate solutions along the way.
We are involved in projects that serve tens of thousands of users and we focus on the technical side. We are strong in integrations. We believe in honest work and partner with companies that push us further and allow us to experience something new. We are a small team in the centre of Brno, but we have big ambitions. If you're experienced, we'll be happy for your insight, if you're a junior, we'll move you forward rapidly.
- You have experience with backend development preferably in Django or another Python framework.
- You know how to develop RESTful APIs.
- You have at least basic knowledge of SQL.
- You can get busy, but you don't lose the big picture.
- You have experience in automated testing.
- And most importantly, enthusiasm and willingness to learn new things and an open mind. What you can't do, you'll learn. :)
- We are an integration platform primarily for ERP systems and e-shops, but we are also expanding into other integrations.
- We work with technologies like DjangoRESTframework, React, PostgreSQL, Redis, Gitlab, Sentry, and Docker.
- We work in SCRUM in weekly sprints
- We communicate through Slack
- We have tasks in Jira

- You’ll develop an intuition for what to do and what not to do when developing web applications.
- You’ll go deeper into the systems architecture.
- Work in the heart of the city or homeoffice. We are located in the street just off Jakub Square next to the Bar, which does not exist. It’s a beautiful part of town with lots of places to go after work or for lunch.
- We’re a small team, you won’t get lost with us. You’ll be an important member of our team and we’ll listen to your opinions. We have a great boss (by the way, he was also a programmer) and the same goes for the people he employs.
- We regularly organize Hack & Chat sessions where we share news, interesting technlogoie or tips and tricks.
