Symmy connects Mailstep with Sofix. Orders flow from Mailstep into Sofix, while product and stock data as well as documents travel the other way. For this pair we transfer 3 agendas — each one separately, in the direction and interval you choose. A basic connection of one agenda takes 6–12 hours of work depending on its type; we will refine the exact scope after an initial meeting.

What we transfer and how often
| Module | Direction | Default interval |
|---|---|---|
| Orders received | Mailstep → Sofix | 15 min |
| Product Cards | Sofix → Mailstep | 60 min |
| Stock availability | Sofix → Mailstep | 60 min |
E-shops are the most common counterparty, but the same modules also flow to CRM, WMS or B2B portals. These values are defaults, not fixed rules. The direction and interval can be changed for each module, and modules not listed here can be added — we shorten the interval when your operation needs a faster response, or extend it when less frequent synchronisation is enough.
How the connection works
On the Mailstep side we use: API with a developer portal. We connect Sofix via: Interface depends on the installation (API / DB / exports).
Regarding licences: The API is free for Mailstep customers. We will verify this during the initial analysis so your budget accounts for it from the start.
What to watch out for
-
1
The interface scope differs from installation to installation.
SOFIX is deployed in various versions and with custom modifications. Before we promise a scope, we verify on your installation which agendas and operations the interface actually exposes.
-
2
One source of truth for products and prices.
At trading companies, prices change daily. We agree that SOFIX manages the price list and the e-shop only displays it — two-way price editing is the most common source of data drifting apart.
-
3
Never test straight on live operations.
Cancelled orders, credit notes and connection outages have to be exercised before the integration runs for real. We test every scenario against a test instance if you have one. If not, we test carefully on production — test records are always flagged, so they never mix with live data.
-
4
Once fulfilment is handed over, Mailstep owns the truth about stock.
The ERP and e-shop must defer to Mailstep's statuses — otherwise the numbers drift apart within days. We set up the flows so that one place decides about availability.
-
5
Map order statuses before launch.
An order passes through a series of statuses in fulfilment. We determine up front which Mailstep status corresponds to which status in your e-shop and ERP.

Frequently asked questions
How much does the integration cost?
We charge 85 € excl. VAT per hour. Connecting one module takes 6–12 hours depending on its type, more for larger systems — we confirm the exact scope after an initial call. The calculator above gives an estimate for your combination of modules.
Do I need an extra licence or module for the integration?
The API is free for Mailstep customers. We will verify the details during the initial analysis.
What happens when Sofix is unavailable?
The synchronisation retries the connection in the next interval, and keeps retrying until it reconnects. An alert goes out the moment the problem is detected, so you will know about the outage before it shows up in your orders.
